Happy Birthday to Me

I'm writing this almost a week later.
DH gave me a silly card, a cuddly lilac Eeyore (to match the furry lilac Eeyore phone cover I bought a few days ago) We also ordered some walking poles. Dd says that she put my card somewhere 'safe' so can't find it in the uproar caused by the sort out she had. She hasnt had a chance to get to where she wanted to get me whatever for my birthday, so bought me some chocolate - a box of mini crunchies and some Green and Blacks. Yummm. Ds phoned to wish me a 'abby burday' - poor Yeti is full of the 'flu.
Today was a visit to the orthodontist, after which dd and I planned an afternoon out in Bristol. Well, after collecting Discworld 2 game from a freecycler, I tried to find somewhere to park. See yesterday's entry on Bristol car parks. We went round and round, eventually accidentally ending up on the sliproad intoan already full almost totally enclosed carpark. Driving this new hire car. It was so scary and claustraphobic in there; badly lit, cars going every which way, and steep ramps on which I stalled the car. One bitchy panic attack later, I paid and left, without parking. A quick trip to Tesco, and a journey home, to find a cheerful rendering of Happy Birthday on the answerphone from Princess Drivealot. Awwwww.
